newbow aerospace ltd have designed and manufactured a specialist aircraft strut/accumulator inflate-deflate tool for a premier global defence and aerospace company. The be-spoke equipment has been specifically made for use with the Hawk Aircraft. The specialist tool will now allow aircraft service personnel achieve accurate setting of the aircraft strut pressures. Accurate settings will ensure smoother take-off and landings are achieved and will minimise both aircraft and tire 'shock' damage. The new equipment has also been cleverly designed so that it is fully compatible with aircraft tire service equipment that is currently in service. The strut tool simply connects to the existing 'walk around service kit' currently being used by service personell. This eliminating the requirment for an additional gas source specific for the strut. It is expected that the new strut equipment will be used World-wide in many aircraft maintenance procedures.
