Improve safety
Maintaining aircraft tyre pressures on
a daily basis (as recommended) with Newbow certified equipment
can eliminate the following hazards.
Under Inflation
Causes excessive rolling resistance due
to tyre drag, which increases fuel consumption during taxiing
and take-off procedures.
Increased tyre flexing results in heat
build up within the tyre and wheel assembley. This will
weaken the tyre walls, reduce tyre life, and can lead to
premature tyre failure and blow outs.
Over Inflation
Increases aircraft stopping distance after
landing which can result in a longer taxi route back to
the terminal, leading to increased fuel consumption.
The risk of tyre tread damage, punctures,
blowouts and aquaplaning in wet conditions.
