Newbow Aerospace Ltd sees a positive start to 2012 with a vast number of its new cost effective ‘GSE Packages’ being taken up by new and existing clients.

As of January 2012, Newbow Aerospace Ltd received firm orders for twelve of its GSE packages that will be split between Kenya Airways, Oman Air, Etihad Airways, Apple Aviation and Raytheon.

The ground support equipment packages comprimise of either nitrogen and oxygen service carts, charging equipment, tyre maintenance tools, maintenance steps and wheel and brake service trailers.

December 2011 – Over the past 12 Months, Newbow Aerospace Ltd have been working closely with Qantas Airways Tooling Division (Australia) to offer a solution for fast, safe and cost effective aircraft tyre inflating.

Whilst Newbow Aerospace currently offer a wide variety of tyre inflation equipment that already met Qantas’ specified request, it was decided that the kit should also be compatible with existing tooling that is used at numerous line stations across Australia. 

During the past 12 Months, a dedicated team of personnel within Qantas Airways and Newbow Aerospace have designed and trailed numerous  tyre inflation kits across Australia with the help and support of various line stations and their associated engineers. The extensive trials and important end user feedback finally allowed both companies to settle on a design that offered speed, compatibility of existing tooling, accuracy and safety. The final design also allowed each individual kit to be compatible with the entire Qantas Airways fleet of aircraft.

The tyre inflation kit is supplied in a heavy duty protective Peli case that contains bespoke inner foam cutouts to ensure all equipment is securely housed. Within the case the operator will find two extra-long push on charging adapters coupled to 600mm high pressure hoses. The hoses will then quick connect to the all important hand held tyre inflation tool that is calibrated to 1.5% FSD and is fitted with an excess pressure relief valve that will eliminate over inflation.  Each kit is fully calibrated, certified and traceable.

To date, Newbow Aerospace Ltd have provided fifteen new tyre inflation kits to Qantas Airways and are more than confident that the airline will quickly notice a higher efficiency rating during its tyre maintenance and service cycles.

November 2011 – Newbow Aerospace delivers precision instrumentation to Lockheed Martin for use with the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Aircraft.

Newbow Aerospace have been working with Lockheed Martin’s Mechanical Engineering Division for the past 12 Months to offer advise and technical support regarding the aircraft landing gear – in-service support requirements. 

Because the F-35 is such a technically advanced aircraft, high quality support equipment will be required to ensure the aircraft is being maintained to the highest of standards during both in-service operations and routine base maintenance.

Part of the overall service requirement will be the maintenance and support of the aircraft tyres and landing gear struts.

Newbow Aerospace Ltd is globally renowned for manufacturing and supplying extremely accurate, safe and reliable civil and military Ground Support Equipment that focuses on aircraft landing gear. Lockheed Martin decided without doubt that Newbow Aerospace was more than the perfect company for this specific project. 

After 12 Months of technical support and product design, Newbow Aerospace delivered a range of bespoke aircraft strut charging tools, tyre inflation tools and tyre pressure checking gauges to Lockheed Martin, Fort Worth, Texas, USA. This equipment will solely be used for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Aircraft.

October 2011 – Newbow Aerospace Ltd is pleased to announce that Etihad Airways has now taken delivery of a high quality and cost effective GSE package.  

As a preferred supplier to Etihad Airways, Newbow Aerospace has been supplying GSE into the Abu Dhabi based carrier for more than 4 years. With Etihad Airways increasing the number of flights into Manchester Airport, there was an initial requirement for a GSE package to assist with line maintenance duties. Being renowned for producing high quality and cost effective products, Newbow Aerospace Ltd was chosen yet again as the preferred supplier for such equipment.

The equipment, which consits of a wheel and brake dolly, nitrogen service cart, specialist aircraft wheel service trailer, wheel storage facility and tyre charging equipment will be used at Manchester Airport to assist with increased line maintenance duties.

October 2011 – Newbow Aerospace Ltd is pleased to announce that Apple Aviation is the latest client to take delivery of a high quality and cost effective GSE package.  

The equipment, which consits of a nitrogen service cart, oxygen service cart, flip-top maintenance steps, tyre inflation apparatus, strut charging tools and tyre pressure check gauges will be used at Le Bourget Airport, France.

Apple Aviation who are headquartered in Liverpool, UK, are EASA Part 145 approved for line maintenance up to and including ‘A’ checks. As an existing customer to Newbow Aerospace, they also use Newbow equipment to support various operations Worldwide.

July 2011 – Newbow Aerospace Ltd unveils its new range of high quality, cost effective Nitrogen & Oxygen service carts.

Moving away from the old style flat-bed service cart, Newbow Aerospace has now introduced a unique, fully demountable service cart that offers optimum performance and high quality at a very competitive price.

Each service cart is capable of holding two large cylinders which can be loaded and unloaded at the same time by a single person and requires minimal effort. This factor alone saves time and eliminates any lifting or bending from the operator altogether, meaning the new range of service carts are very health and safety focused.

At the front of each cart is a slim-line charging panel which is housed in a lockable cabinet. The charging panel consists of superior Hale Hamilton valve technology making low and high pressure charging applications very safe and easy. The complete charging assembly is mounted just above waist height, meaning that no bending from the operator is required.

A superior feature that out-classes any other service cart of this type is the fact that the Newbow carts can be purchased in an ‘easy to assemble flat pack form’. This clever feature means that customers all over the World can purchase such product from Newbow and reduce their shipping fees substantially, compared to that of other manufacturers products.
